Reports & Studies

Five Offerings. Five Distinct Purposes.

Each offering has a defined purpose, subject, and scope. They are independent services, not successive stages of engagement.

Purpose

Assess the prevailing macrofinancial regime, identify its main vulnerabilities, and examine the channels through which economic and financial conditions affect the real economy.

Scope

  • Key macroeconomic and financial indicators.
  • Economic activity, inflation, incomes, and sector developments.
  • Fiscal and monetary policy, and financing conditions.
  • Exchange-rate regime, external sector, and financial system.
  • Political, regulatory, and institutional environment.
  • Risks, transmission channels, and vulnerabilities.
  • Forward-looking scenarios, conditions for change, and monitoring signals.

Limitations

An assessment of the macrofinancial environment in a defined country or region. It does not evaluate individual portfolios, balance sheets, or personal wealth circumstances, and does not provide personalized investment recommendations.

Estimated Delivery Time

3–5 business days.

Purpose

Understand the environment under review, identify its key drivers, and establish the conditions that could change the assessment.

Scope

  • Definition of the situation under review.
  • Identification of key variables and secondary factors.
  • Examination of causal relationships and underlying conditions.
  • Assessment of alternative interpretations.
  • Identification of material risks and uncertainties.
  • Conditions that could change the assessment.

Limitations

An assessment of a defined situation. It is neither an ongoing monitoring service nor necessarily a full forward-looking scenario analysis.

Estimated Delivery Time

2–3 business days.

Purpose

Examine possible paths of economic, financial, or market change and identify the conditions that support or invalidate each scenario.

Scope

  • Definition of the subject and time horizon of the analysis.
  • Development of a primary hypothesis and alternatives.
  • Identification of key variables.
  • Development of scenarios and their implications.
  • Identification of triggers and tipping points.
  • Conditions for scenario validation, invalidation, and transition.
  • Associated risks and uncertainties.

Limitations

Scenarios are conditional analytical constructs. They are neither guaranteed forecasts nor investment recommendations.

Estimated Delivery Time

3–5 business days.

Purpose

Examine how a financial or wealth structure is organized, where its vulnerabilities lie, and how risks could emerge under adverse conditions.

Scope

  • Identification of the components and relationships within the structure under review.
  • Assessment of concentrations, dependencies, and exposures.
  • Analysis of liquidity, funding, and obligations.
  • Sensitivity analysis of changes in relevant variables.
  • Identification of vulnerabilities and risk-transmission mechanisms.
  • Assessment of the structure's behavior under adverse conditions.
  • Analysis of resilience conditions and deterioration factors.

Limitations

The subject of the analysis, the nature of the information used, and any examination of actual wealth structures must be defined in advance.

The report does not, in itself, constitute a wealth audit or personalized investment advice.

Estimated Delivery Time

5–7 business days.

Purpose

Bring economic, financial, wealth-related, and institutional factors into a single analytical framework to understand their interdependencies and consequences.

Scope

  • Macroeconomic, financial, and institutional environment.
  • Analysis of markets, sectors, and real assets.
  • Political, regulatory, and tax considerations.
  • Relationships among risks, exposures, and constraints.
  • Development of integrated scenarios and drivers of change.
  • Identification of vulnerabilities, dependencies, and conditions for sustainability.
  • Assessment of implications for wealth governance and decision-making processes.

Limitations

The study integrates multiple analytical dimensions but does not necessarily provide an assessment of an individual's wealth.

It does not include personalized investment recommendations. Any analysis of specific wealth information requires an expressly defined scope.

Estimated Delivery Time

7–10 business days.

About Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates and include technical and editorial review. They are calculated from the express acceptance of the project and availability of the information required to carry it out.

Delivery dates are confirmed once the scope of each project has been agreed.

Specialized Analysis

Not every analysis fits a predefined format.

LA MESA undertakes specific projects whose subject or scope falls outside the standard offerings in its catalog.

The methodology, analytical limitations, and deliverables are defined for each project according to its nature and purpose.

All requests are subject to review and express acceptance by LA MESA.

Submit an Inquiry

Every research assignment calls for its own approach. All are held to the same standards of rigor.

Explore Our Methodology

Methodology

A conclusion is only as strong as the evidence behind it.

Every investigation begins with a clearly defined question. We select and cross-check sources, examine relationships, and assess alternative explanations.

We adapt our methodology to the subject and scope of each project, always distinguishing what we know, what we infer, and what remains uncertain.

Our Process

From a focused question to rigorous analysis.

01

Scope Definition

We define the question, the subject of inquiry, the time horizon, and the scope of the report.

02

Evidence

We collect and cross-check relevant sources, identifying their origin, timeliness, and limitations.

03

Analysis

We examine relationships, formulate hypotheses, and evaluate alternative explanations using the tools suited to each research assignment.

04

Testing

We test hypotheses and, where appropriate, develop scenarios to examine their implications and the conditions under which they may change.

05

Synthesis

We bring together findings, risks, and limitations in a report designed to inform deliberation and decision-making.

The process allows for revision: new evidence may require us to revisit a hypothesis or adjust the scope of the analysis.

Analytical Standards

Analysis that makes its foundations clear.

Traceability

Sources and references make it possible to trace the information underpinning the analysis to its origins.

Clear Distinctions

Documented facts, estimates, and interpretations are presented separately.

Assumptions

We make the assumptions underpinning our reasoning explicit, together with their influence on our conclusions.

Uncertainty

We identify gaps in the evidence, alternative explanations, and unresolved questions.

Conditions for Revision

We identify developments or new evidence that could change our conclusions.

Scope and Limitations

We define what the report examines, how far its conclusions extend, and what lies outside the assignment.

Once those purposes have been fulfilled and any legally required retention periods have expired, data will be deleted, anonymized, or appropriately restricted, as applicable.

Information related to a contractual relationship may be subject to retention periods different from those applicable to an inquiry that does not lead to an engagement.

Article 8. Information Security

LA MESA does not control the data-processing practices of independent third parties.

English and Portuguese translations are provided for informational purposes. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Spanish version shall prevail, without prejudice to any mandatory rights or protections afforded under applicable law.

Article 1. Nature of the Research

LA MESA conducts independent research on economics, markets, assets, risks, wealth structures, and decision governance.

Its materials may include reports, studies, models, scenarios, foundational publications, technical analyses, and methodological tools.

Their purpose is to help clarify complex problems through evidence, explicit assumptions, consideration of alternatives, and evaluation of consequences.

The decision belongs to the client. The depth of the analysis is our responsibility.

Article 2. Public Content and Individual Engagements

Material publicly available at www.lamesa.ar is general, informational, institutional, academic, or research-oriented in nature, as appropriate.

Browsing the website does not create an individualized advisory relationship or a professional engagement.

Specific studies commissioned by a client will be governed by the subject, purpose, sources, methodology, deliverables, and limitations set out in the relevant engagement documentation.

The availability of general content on the website does not mean that its conclusions apply to any particular case.

Article 3. Market and Asset Research

Studies may examine price structures, trends, technical indicators, liquidity and volatility conditions, cross-market relationships, reference levels, and conditional behavioral hypotheses.

Any technical assessment must be considered in light of its reference date, assumptions, and purpose.

Levels, scenarios, and indicators do not guarantee results and must not be interpreted outside the document's time frame and methodological context.

The inclusion of operational parameters in technical documents does not, by its designation alone, determine their legal classification.

Any product or activity constituting regulated advice or recommendations must comply with the relevant legal requirements.

Article 4. Economic and Wealth Research

Reports may examine macroeconomic environments, sectors, scenarios, exposures, concentrations, dependencies, sensitivities, and decision-making mechanisms.

They may draw on public sources, client-provided data, assumptions, and hypothetical instruments, with their nature identified where appropriate.

Illustrative models do not necessarily represent any identifiable individual's or entity's wealth.

Analysis of actual wealth information will be subject to the expressly agreed scope and the restrictions applicable to the data provided.

Article 5. Wealth Governance and Authority

Decision-governance tools may address mandates, deliberation processes, responsibilities, powers, objections, exceptions, and monitoring of agreements.

They neither create nor replace legal, statutory, corporate, fiduciary, or contractual powers.

The authority of directors, administrators, trustees, fiduciaries, protectors, attorneys-in-fact, and other bodies depends on the instruments and laws applicable to each structure.

Research models do not replace professional involvement required by law.

Article 6. Sources and Information Quality

LA MESA will endeavor to identify the sources, periods, hypotheses, and relevant limitations of its research.

Third-party information may contain errors, methodological differences, or subsequent revisions.

Citing an external source does not amount to independently certifying all of its information.

Article 7. Scenarios, Projections, and Models

Scenarios, models, sensitivity analyses, weightings, and stress tests are analytical constructs based on assumptions and parameters.

They are neither guarantees nor necessarily statistical forecasts.

Where probabilities are presented, they must be interpreted in accordance with the report's methodology and qualifications.

Changes in inputs, time horizons, economic conditions, or relationships among variables may significantly affect the results.

Article 8. Professional and Regulatory Limitations

Unless the necessary legal authorization, competence, and specific engagement are in place, the content does not replace individualized legal, tax, accounting, audit, fiduciary, or financial advice.

These materials do not, in themselves, constitute brokerage, custody, portfolio management, or trade execution services.

The regulatory status of each activity depends on its actual characteristics, not merely on the report's commercial name or the existence of this statement.

Article 9. No Guarantee of Results

No guarantee is made concerning returns, financial outcomes, absolute preservation of capital, future scenarios coming to pass, or elimination of risk.

Research can improve understanding of a decision without eliminating uncertainty or replacing the judgment of those legally authorized to decide.

Article 10. Date and Currency of Content

Documents should be read in light of their publication date and the information available during the period they cover.

Displaying a historical report does not imply that its data or hypotheses remain current.

An obligation to update work arises only where provided by the agreed terms of engagement or applicable law.

Article 11. Use and Circulation of Materials

Public and restricted-access materials are subject to intellectual property law and the specific licenses applicable to each work or engagement.

Access to a summary or sample does not imply permission to reproduce or distribute an entire report, or to disclose material supplied on a confidential basis, beyond uses allowed by law.

Article 12. Responsibility for Decisions

The approval, timing, implementation, and execution of decisions remain with the individuals and bodies vested with legitimate authority, with any professional involvement required.

Research does not transfer management powers or the responsibilities of decision-making bodies to LA MESA.

This limitation does not exclude any liability that the author or service provider may incur under law for their own acts or omissions.

Institutional Closing Statement

LA MESA does not replace the authority of those who decide.

Independent research seeks to make clear the facts, assumptions, risks, and potential consequences relevant to decision-making.

Independence does not eliminate uncertainty. It enables us to recognize and examine uncertainty systematically.
